Director John Cutrone

John Cutrone, Charlie Chaplin in Modern Times, 1936

John comes to JCBA as a letterpress printer, bookbinder, and papermaker. He is also a writer and a partner in Convivio Bookworks, a Lake Worth book arts shop and studio specializing in limited edition letterpress printed books and broadsides, as well as artisan goods, books, and specialty foods from around the world. He is the author of the Convivio Book of Days, a literary lifestyle blog encouraging us to live the ceremony of each day, and was recently named North American editor of Parenthesis, the journal of the Fine Press Book Association. He is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University and of the MFA in the Book Arts Program at the University of Alabama. Favorite comfort book: The Sketchbook of Geoffrey Crayon by Washington Irving.

Jonathan Rockford

Jonathan Rockford, Babe Ruth in Speedy, 1928

Jonathan joined the JCBA with a background in craft, visual arts, and the humanities. He is an alumnus of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and of the University of Miami -- with graduate degrees in Fiber and Material Studies, and Liberal Studies respectively. Along with exploring the sculptural possibilities of single-stitch crochet, Jonathan is also a member of the art collective Encoded Objects. Currently, he is in the final stages of the Creative Writing graduate program, here at Florida Atlantic University, where he encountered one of his most recent favorite reads -- The Book of Delights by Ross Gay.
